get my tattoo fixed

I originally intended on doing this before June this year—but of course I put it off. So, I am now planning on January 2008. I will probably have enough money then (it’s going to be a fairly large “peice” with lots of detail)

I got my tattoo when I was 17. I was supposed to go back a week after to get it touched up / filled in, BUT I realized the damn thing was crooked! It’s a tribal on my lower back. I know—how very original! I’m glad I got it done. It was an experience that I needed to have. But I really dislike the design.
I picked it out within 10 minutes. I had a different design picked out before going, but the “artist” said it would look “weird”. I didn’t want to reschedule…afterall, my stepfather offered to pay for it and if I waited any longer, he might change his mind! So I went for it.
Anyway, the design WOULD be okay if it was in the right place. It’s up higher than I wanted it…one side is a little bit higher up than the other, and that same side is closer to my spine than the other side. Sooo, for a couple years I worked on ideas for fixing it. Either get it filled in and add to it, or get a cover-up. I’ve decided on the cover-up and have the perfect idea for it. It’s been 2+ years and I haven’t changed my mind, so I think it’s about time that I follow through. Since I’m too broke right now, I think that the best time to have it done would be early next year….before summer.
