Finish my house

It’s so close to done. The kitchen, stairwells and landing are painted, and so is the front door and frame, which were some of my last “big” projects. Still lots of trim work and other little things to do, but I’m almost tempted to mark this one done.

The countertops will be installed next week and then all I have left is painting and other cosmetic stuff. I can’t believe it has taken this long and I’m so relieved the end is in sight.

The drywall is finished in the kitchen and bathroom for the most part, but still needs to be primed and painted. The flooring is down but still needs trim work done. The bathroom vanity is DONE! Kitchen countertops are, sadly, not done and driving me nuts. Sigh… it never ends.

There are four main things that MUST get done ASAP:
1. drywall in bathroom (finish and paint)
2. drywall in kitchen (finish and paint)
3. hardwoods on first floor
4. kitchen countertops

And then there are a million little things to do, like tiling the bathroom vanity, installing window treatments, hanging shelves, painting the stairwells and changing light fixtures. Ugh. I think it will never end!
