- I finally picked up Python. Working w/ threads in Python was a royal PITA, but the XML-RPC libraries are sweet
- I programmed a Mac App. I understand nibs and plists sort of!
- I’m doing several refactoring/redesign projects right now. I feel like I’m really hitting my stride with where I want to be in applying what I know to some medium-to-large scale web applications. I’m working on code for better maintainability and giant-size scaling
- I programmed my first GreaseMonkey script, which, along with rereading the Design of Everyday Things has gotten me back in gear on humane UI design
- I quit work, which means that I’ll finally be getting around to those bajillion projects I’ve been meaning to work on
- I’ve been consolidating all my programming project to do’s into a personal Wiki (Confluence)
- I’m using JIRA to track all my tasks. With that, I’ve gotten much better at estimating effort tracking (especially as there are reports that tell you how accurate your estimates are to your actual effort)
I’ll leave this undone until we see what projects I get around to, which I think is the true test of programming achievement.
