That’s great for this town. Now I must begin to squirrel the money away. I’m going to use an old fashioned envelope system.

After my wonderful friends came home from their trip I moved into a brand new beautifully furnished little cottage with a gal about my age. She is deciding whether or not to get divorced and sort of lives half time between her family house and this house. It’s complicated. Anyway I have my own bedroom, bathroom and basically the run of the place most days and nights. It’s $600, which isn’t super super cheap, but in our market is very good. AND all the utilities are paid. I’m really delighted. I feel very lucky. I LOVE LIVING SIMPLY!! After having to be responsible for everyone and everything for um….oh almost 25 years I’m feeling really free and happy. I loved raising my kids but the stress of having to try make a middle class thing happen by yourself was scary.

Just serendipity I guess but a client mentioned to me that they needed a housesitter while their away for four months. Amazing. So I’m shutting down my place (too big) and selling a lot of my furniture. I’ll live cheap for awhile and then get a roommate situation after that. I’m just sort of in this place where I want to accept that I don’t make much money, so quit trying to live like I have a good paying job. It will really take the stress off for awhile. I’m more interested in Peace than impressing anyone.

I just want to live simply for awhile and be able to send money to my girls for school, travel to see them and have fun.
