I feel much much better healthwise. Hardly any headaches.
My daughters are both going to great colleges.
I’m having good success recruiting volunteers for my main job and my massage practice is just right.
I found a sweet housesitting gig for 4 months so I can save money.
My relationship is going on two years.
I feel blessed.

At my house we celebrate porch time. I bought a couple of affordable by classy looking chairs at Target, put some herbs and a hybiscus tree out there. It looks smashing and inviting, with the lake. Now I’m inviting a friend a week to have dinner with us out there. Friends, beauty, good food and drink. That’s juicy.

How great it was to have M over last night, no one home but me and him. Drink some nice wine and do what normal people who are in that situation do. Juicy!!!

Meaningful work. I’m lucky to have it. I definitely think this comes under the heading of living juicy.

A friend took me to the Moonlight Classic in Denver. A fund raising bike ride through some of the nicer spots in Denver at night. It was a 15 mile ride with about 1000 people. It rained. Drunk people on patios cheered us. All and all it was surreal and fun.

As a sort of living juicy by association….my youngest daughter is so talented and beautiful. Both of my daughters are, but in this entry I just want to say that last night I went to see Metamorphosis. It’s a play using Greek myth. The theatre company putting it on are all between 16 and 25. The production was SO PROFESSIONAL and beautiful. She had some acting parts and also did the costumes. She just turned 16 and I was worried it was too much for her to do both. She shined.
So proud. Plus she looked like a young Audrey Hepburn up there. I was stunned.

You know who they are. You like them….and when you’re done interacting with them you feel more up or at least as good as you did when you first ran into them. The vampires…you know them too….I’m trying to weed.

Word of the day, the week, the year. I’m going with it. I try my dreams, my desires, my hopes. But I’m flowing with what life brings me and I’m appreciating those things.

I’m putting my baseball gloves and a ball in my trunk. Occasionally I’ll invite a friend to lunch on a nice day. We’ll go outside and after eating toss the ball around for a few minutes. Little things like this make me happy. So easy to please!

living juicy. Living juicy means being alive and maybe one step off and to the left of everyone else. Not being afraid of new things. Being a bit quirky but in a bon vivant kind of way. Yes people, I said bon vivant! It’s French, bitch. It means Good Living.
So the old goal here said be on www.thisamericanlife.org. Still want to do that as a journalist. The old me.
Another thing under this goal is get some real art into my life. I’m trading with an artist right now for some small pieces. Maybe I’ll scan the piece I just got from him. It’s a Denver street scene. I love it. I’m probably never going to be rich, or have the perfect life. But I’ve discovered that for a few moments at a time I can live juicy.
