forgive myself

eight months ago, i said:

“I’ll forgive myself once I’m done being mad at myself. I’m not mad at myself yet.. it will take me a few years to fully realize the weight of my youthful, witless actions. Then, I’ll be able to forgive myself. Because I’m convinced this is the way the world works.”

i am no longer confused, no longer mad at myself. i found someone who could forgive me when i couldn’t do it for myself. i didn’t need years to make realizations and make peace. love simplified the process. and then love soothed the soul.
