So after having two babies I am finally back on the road and on a program. First goal….complete another half marathon and then get to training for a marathon.

I am getting back on track after having my baby peanut. I am in pre-training mode which means beginning with alot of walking, weight training and a 5k run this weekend. I am starting out slow and will be running a 1/2 marathon in September and another in November. Get ready set…...GO! WML
So I have put this goal on hold until November of this year. I am due to have my baby in May (reason for the delay)and this will be a great way for me to get back into shape. Wishing everyone great running and success in achieving this goal! Hope to be posting and restarting to train after May.
Week 11 is over. I only ran a 15 miler for my long run this week. It was suppossed to be a 16 miler but my blood sugar bottomed out and 15 was all I had to give. I need to keep up on the carbo intake. Week 11 was the hardest week so far in my training. It’s now a new week and I have a new outlook. I learned alot from the past week that I think will be important lessons that will help get me through on race day. This weeks runs are 5/8/5 and 18. Week 12 here we go….:)
I ran my 16 miler yesterday and felt really good. I don’t have any soreness today and I’ve noticed my feet and calves aren’t hurting as much towards the end of the long runs. This week the runs are 5/8/5 and 18 miles. 18 miles….I have walked 18 miles before and I remember being sore just from walking. These are the last two high mileage weeks and then it’s time to taper. And then it’s Emerald City time. Double gulp! :)
I am off to run a nice easy 5 miler. I am doing my 16 miler tomm morning. I can’t believe I am almost done with my 10th week of training. Where does the time go? 43 days and counting down until Seattle. My stomach is in knots just thinking about it.
Week 9 is now over and it’s off and running into week 10. The runs this week are 5/8/5 and 16 miles. I am looking forward to the challenge. Wishing everyone a great running week!
Yesterday I ran the Leavenworth half marathon. It was a beautiful and challenging course with a nice 2 miles worth of hills at the midway. My time was a little slow 2:24 but considering that I have been sick this week and the hills I was happy with it. It also was my long run day yest so I added 3 miles on to the half after the race….I kind of hobbled through the last three miles but I made it. This week I am ready for a new healthy start. 48 days until Seattle. Gulp! :)
I ran 14 miles today. I finished in approx 2:55 and I felt really good. This was the longest distance I have ever run. I felt better on this run then I did on my 12 miler last weekend. Week 8 is now officially over….Week 9 of marathon training begins tomm and the runs are 4/7/4 and OMG 16 miles! Gotta start getting psyched up for that one! :)
Ran a Nice easy four today and added some speed work. Am loving the heart rate monitor. Tomm is just a sixer! Yay!
