Still very much a beginner. I can play a little bit by ear when listening to music with piano in it. But, I’m inching my way.

Someday I’d love to be able to play Regina Spektor songs on the piano.

Oh how I wish  — 1 year ago

I had taken piano lessons as a child…and ballet, but that’s a story for another day. My parents did get me a keyboard for Christmas and I’ve been a-practicin’. When I’m listening to music with piano I can find the key and pick it up. It’ll be a long road but well worth it. I want to be great like Regina Spektor or Tori Amos or Fiona Apple or Elton John, orrrrr! I can see myself now at 60 finally there and playing a show in some smoky bar. Singing in a sultry Kathleen Turner voice…yeah, that’ll be me.
