though i haven't added vocabulary to the repertoire, i am speaking it more 2 years ago

i’m speaking to our baby in chinese about 50-70% of the time. i’m hoping to speak it more to her, so that she’ll perhaps be bilingual. at the very least, she can understand it; that’s my hope.

Want to Speak and Write Chinese Fluently 3 years ago

Some would say that I speak Chinese (Mandarin, specifically) fluently. But, I don’t think so myself. I can get by in everyday discourse. Dialoguing about more sophisticate matters, for example, religion or politics, is beyond me. I’d like to expand my vocabulary. My written Chinese is sad. I can read and write very little. Once I’m done with my dissertation, I’d like to spend more time studying Chinese.
