Does this bring me one step closer? 2 years ago

I’m being commissioned to take pictures of the University of Texas – Pan American’s new gym / recreation center. I’m their official photographer. My photographs will be used in publicizing the new gym. So, my pictures will show up on pamphlets, perhaps on their website, and who knows where else. Does this count as bringing me one step closer to doing a bit of professional photography?

Complements to me as a photographer 3 years ago

Photographs I have taken color the walls in our home. And some of the greater complements have been that people thought they were taken by a professional photographer. I would love to do photography on the professional level, if I have a chance.
