find at least one thing each day that makes me happy

The weather had been so bleak lately. windy. cold. wet. yuck. i had a nice nap in my warm bed..grateful for the luxuries i have in life, when others have so little.

I think happiness must come from within..i feel happy to be studying literature in my course- its opened my mind to a new form of self expression and helped me contemplate my own existence.

Had a sauna to break up the day of studying for exams. was relaxing :) i love how rejuvinated you feel afterwards

Umm..today. I went to the library to study for uni, came home and did some computer things, visited nan- who just came back from hospital after having a stroke… What made me happy today was seeing her crack a smile and laugh :)

saw a father and daughter sitting on the grass near the pavement, in front of a construction site. the girl with some snacks in her hands, sitting snug in her dads legs. they watched the man and the forklift as he went about his job, moving concrete from one spot to another. the grin of acknowledgment of the forklift man and the two sitting together was gorgeous. infectious smiles. this site made me happy..as i thought ‘wow..children make the simple things extraordinary’
