I want to start a compost, but I’m finding that it’s not a practical goal at this point in my life.
I live in a city and my back yard is barely big enough for two cars.
I’ve read about aerating a metal trash drum and using it to contain compost. This seems like a thrifty option for my situation and the drum would solve some of my space issues, though it does nothing to solve the smell issue. The compost would still be too close to my house and my neighbors’ houses and then there’s the likelihood of the compost attracting rats. My neighbors would be thrilled.
