the free trial of acne products Burt’s Bees sent me for about a month now. I think I’m in love! It’s pretty awesome. My skin isn’t perfect, but my complexion has never looked this good. I have a feeling that when I run out and I have to purchase them on my own, they’re gonna be a little pricey. But I can’t think of anything I’ve ever liked this much…so it’s worth it.

In my last post, I mentioned that Burt’s Bees hasn’t been working as well. The next day, I got an email from BB asking if I’d like to test their new acne products for free.
Weird?
Burt and I are getting along fine. My skin has not been this clear in over ten years. It is a definite confidence booster.
So far, I really really really like Burt’s Bees. I’m hoping that this isn’t just a honeymoon phase and in two weeks I’ll be back to yucky skin.
If this stuff keeps working after a few months, I’ll dump every bottle of lotion, cleanser, shampoo, soap, whatever, and replace it with Burt’s Bees and stick with natural products for the rest of my life.
Well…the redness has gone down. I didn’t want to wait the 30 days and it seems like Clearasil doesn’t have the best customer service, so I just brought it back to Walmart.
With the refund, I bought some Burt’s Bees stuff. Let’s see if I have any luck with natural products.
This morning, I was sitting at the kitchen table having coffee with my mom. I got up to refill my cup and happened to walk past a mirror and OM MY GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY FACE?!
I think I had a reaction to the clearasil. I look like I have sunburn. And roseacea.
I called the 800 number on the back of the box…and they transferred me to their “medical specialist.”
I told her what happened, and she told me to put a cold rag on my face. And maybe vitamin e, unless I have sensitive skin because it could become irritated. Then she hung up.
...
I guess I have to wait the thirty days to get my money back.
The best part is, I have an interview today.
Every month I spend about $7 on some new facial cleaser that doesn’t work. I just bought one of those proactiv knock off systems by clearasil. It was $20…ouch…but it’s guaranteed. So if I still hate my skin by the time I finish the bottles, atleast I can have my money back.
I’m not really one to obsess over my looks. Whatever. No one’s perfect.
But I’ve always been super envious of those with clear skin.
