Stop being a lazy artist: do something creative for 43 days

Made a pretty neat (if I may say so myself) little painting for B centered around the Thoreau quote “The language of friendship is not words but meanings.” She has a wall full of quotes, so I thought it would be nice to give her one to add to it.

Finished writing the Christmas story for my mom…The Elf on the Shelf Meets Scout on the Couch. It was pure cheesiness..but mom loved it and that’s all that matters :)

Started rewriting “The Elf on the Shelf” to include my dogs to give to mom for Xmas.

Re did the audio for a scene from Frankenstein
Re mixed 5 songs

Played some guitar. Did a little hula hooping. Remixed a song and wrote a new one.

SO that story I mentioned I was working on…sucks. I lost my voice somewhere. Something is missing from it, but I don’t know what. Half a plot maybe.

On another note, I just bought a beautiful new acoustic guitar, and I am in looove with it. We’ve been writing songs all week.

For a week I’ve been writing and there are about 20 pages plus a solid outline.
The direction it’s taking isn’t the initial way it was going to go, but I couldn’t be happier. Because now, it is finally out of my head!!

I even made a twitter account for my main character..to help develop a voice for her and to see if anyone would follow..and I have more followers than I thought I would get in such a short amount of time!

The night before my birthday…like lightning…I was struck with inspiration for a story I had been thinking about for five years!
I wrote a plot outline, a rough intro, and updated my account on writerscafe.

Five years ago, I had a vague idea for a story. No matter how hard I worked on it though, I could never come up with a full plot. I had a character with a tone that was fun to write, and a few paragraphs on her…and nothing else to go on. I didn’t want to give up on it though.
Out of nowhere, the plot hit me! Hopefully, it won’t take another five years to finish…

Saturday night of sipping absinthe and jammin with the boy. Good stuff and a few decent ideas.

So I think me and Bill have a band going.

Drew a friend as a comic character. Learned a few new songs on guitar. I wrote one too, but I forgot it already. I think there’s a d chord it in…
