In 3.5 hours I achieved very little but don’t get me wrong: I was working the entire time!! I spent over an hour of that time picking up beads- one by one! The other day I was getting something out of the closet and a box of seed beads came tumbling out and spilt all over the carpet and into the sliding closet door crevice! So I got the tweezer out today and began picking the beads out one by one from the crevice. OMG like I said it took over an hour!! At least I had the tv on next to me. Well, that had to be done and now my room is a little cleaner. And I salvaged the beads (for the goal my list that says ‘make a beaded purse’!).
What else did I get done in 3.5 hours? Well I spent probably over an hour ripping up old checks. I had to switch banks recently so I had a whole box of old checks and I couple sheets of temporary checks so I got out the scissors and I cut checks a few at a time into slivers. It took forever!! And my hand hurts. I guess thats why people have shredders. But I don’t like to have a lot of junk like shredders. I’m a minimalist. But after this experience- if I ever have to do that again- I’m getting a shredder.
So after picking up beads with tweezers and cutting a hundred checks into slivers, I proceeded to pick up everything on my floor and put it in an appropriate place and then vaccuum my room. Looking under my bed I realized the carpet was coming up. I tore part of the carpet up to make sure the floor wasn’t wet. It wasn’t so thats a relief. Since I had to move my bed to do that, I was able to vaccuum under my bed and pretty much the entire room. It feels a lot better and I’d like to vacuum once a week. The thing I hate about vaccuuming is cleaning my bagless vaccuum filter. It gets really dirty. Anyway, I still have a long way to go getting my apartment clean but every step helps.
