make a dress

Haven’t made a dress yet. I did refit my bridesmaid dress and that was a lot of work. But its perfect now! Its strapless but it stays up perfect. On to the next task: Make a dress. Well actually I’m going to sew a duvet cover first. LOL I keep putting this goal off.

Is it a machine or a big white plastic decoration that collects dust? I haven’t touched the sewing machine for a while now and I just spent money on my garden so I’m not going to buy any fabric for at least a month. I need to save money. So this goal will wait.

Patterns are expensive! I looked at dress patterns yesterday and they were all like over 15 bucks. I could buy a dress for that much. Plus the fabric gonna cost like 10 bucks. I think I’m going to take this dress I have and just make one like it but longer.

This is where I am on this goal: It has to be a long dress so I can wear it to work. It has to be thick stretchy material so its comfortable. I found one I think I would like. It also has a tie in the back. I would find a prettier print or color!
