I’ve been under my ww goal two days in a row now and I’m going to call this done. My vague intention is to try to drop another 5 to 10 lbs, but weight is one of those odd things that is hard to be satisfied with, so I’m not going to keep changing the finish line on my 43t goal list to call it done.

up for 2 weeks. back down again this week. need to focus and get more exercise if I am going to meet this goal. Especially by Christmas.
This weekend (on my own scale) I broke down into a new decade. So rewarding. I’m being good, but not fanatical, so it felt like a surprise.
Today, the day that matters for the salsa competition, I was up 3 lbs, back out of the desired decade. That’ll teach me to eat, what? an English muffin pizza? ...or three…
WW scale was down 1 lb from last week at least, and that makes about 11 lbs in about 11 weeks. Not bad really.
.5 over last year’s weight on the first week of September. Considering the baby and all, I feel pretty darn pleased.
Onwards to dropping 10 lbs. By Christmas if I want to win a case of salsa. (Family bargain: all who lose 10 lbs get a case bought by those who do not lose 10 lbs. Unless we all lose 10 lbs…)
down another 2.6.
Unfortunately I’m on my way to an ice cream block party, and tomorrow is the library’s 100th birthday party (for which I’m contributing part of a quilt cake). But I won’t be able to weigh in for two weeks (Dad then out of town) so maybe if I’m really good outside of these things…
Down 8.2 since I started going. Great news since I thought I’d blown it this week. Bought salad makings yesterday and feel better about my food choices in the past 2 days.
Also found out that I can attend ww till the end of September without paying (lifetime membership has complicated postpartum weight loss rules). So that’s also great news for me since the external accountability has been good for me, even if I haven’t been able to stay for the meetings themselves.
I’m trying to remember that food is more likely to be the important key to this goal than exercise. Exercise helps, but not if I’m not really toeing the line and eating lots of vegetables and fruit instead of lots of whatever carbohydrate I can find. (Nothing against them, in balance.) This past week I’ve been off track, but I’m mostly noticing because I’ve been doing really well until now, and seeing the scale nudge up a little is a good reality check.
I’m craving salads again anyways.
Had to shift to Saturday now that I’m working again. I’m down 3.4 this week (total -6.2). Which means I can reward myself with NEW RUNNING SHOES!
Since I’ve worn the bit behind both heels down the plastic, I’m kind of blushingly thrilled.
