learn to belly dance

tonight i will book my place on the intermediates course for belly dance starting in september. i didnt really expect to move up so quickly but obv having previous dance experience is really helpful and you pick it up quicker. im really enjoying it and after seeing a video of our performance it has confirmed i was doing all the moves properly!

i think i can put a tick next to this one as i have now performed in my first belly dance show, but i will keep writing entries about it. my costume arrived in time and looked amazing and looking back at the video i’m please to discover that i’m doing all the moves right!

still hasnt arrived yet, i bought it off ebay and im getting concerned. but i am looking forward to the show itself. i like the music and dancing is so much fun. im really glad i started it especially since GH comes with me

in less than a week and my costume that i bought off ebay hasnt arrived yet – eeek!

bought my first full outfit off ebay today, black skirt, black and sparkly bra and black and white veil, yay yay yay!

learnt nearly a whole dance last night in just over an hour, impressed and its a really fun energetic dance with cool music

one of the other girtls in the class started teaching us the veil dance which they all learn last term which is a lovely dance. and some of the moves we are learning in class need practice but i am practicing at home to get this particular one right

went to a show that our instructor takes part in every month and everyone got up at the end to dance like a belly dance disco, and the teacher asked me, my friend and another girl in our class to perform at the next one at the end of june! we feel proud of ourselves and are really enjoying the lessons and the dancing and learning something new

lessons going really well, me and my friends go together and are getting better at it!

i have been to 2 lessons and it is something i could be good at. it is loads of fun and its nice to dance again, gonna keep it up
