surprise this weekend :D I was deciding on where to take a trip to at midterm and a wonderful friend from Paris booked me a trip (flights and hotel all paid for) back to Paris. Surprises are fabulous!

of days with my two daughters in Donegal :) My youngest daughter made me laugh until i hurt….she is so funny and loving. She was “swimming” in the hotel pool (as the Donegal weather was so wet and wild we spent an hour or two inside) when she started screaming “Mummy look! Hannah’s legs are fixed!”
Em….. NO! They’re not! but whoohoo!!!
We had such good fun up round Glencolmcille and Slieve League (scary in that weather :O)

i got home from Austria to find a copy of “The Gargoyle” waiting for me – I think i know who sent this ;) THANK YOU!!! Also two beautiful butterfly cards sent by TG….and a lovely message in particular from The Warrior Queen :) I have such very good friends her on 43….thank you for thinking about me even when i’m not around. You all made me smile :D

Arrived today (or yesterday as it is now). It was a book with a note saying: “Dear…..
All the time I was reading this book, I was thinking of you – not entirely sure why! Nonetheless, i thought you should have a copy….”

the book is called “13, Rue Therese” by Elena Mauli Shapiro and is set in Paris. I’ve decided to keep it for February :)

Thank You so much my Dear, thoughtful and gorgeous friend…you make me smile and help me remember what a wonderful place the world really is. :)

from the spontaneous, smart and spectacularly special Lady Grinning Soul. THANK YOU LGS it’s so lovely to get little reminders that someone somewhere is thinking about you.

I also spent two hours today marking projects that my class in school produced…...the children had to pick a country and complete a project on their country…..i spent the hour laughing, smiling and boring my own children as i read out different extracts. My favourite part was one of my P4s. His project was on Ireland….he had included a picture of himself dressed as a leprechaun complete with red beard and green outfit with a speech bubble attached that said: “You are this laprachons favourite teacher. I love you. If you give me a good mark i will grant you 3 wishes. Promise. PS I tried really hard with my handwriting Miss.” (he also included a £1 coin and a 1 Euro coin – i’m thinking this may have been a bribe as well).

I received a present last week that was filled with so much thought and time and consideration…..i think it must be the loveliest present i have ever been given. It was filled with beautiful charms among other things and a LOT of magic. It has made me smile all week.
