learn to paint

I need to take my time, and maybe outline my paintings with a pencil. I might also need better paints, as I use the kids you buy at the pharmacy.

On this one, I just let it fly…everything is faded together.

I’m glad my ego isn’t wrapped around my painting skill. :-)

Here I’m trying to learn about leaving areas unpainted, to look like snow.

it’s getting tougher and tougher, because I’m getting more risky.

...’cause I’m loving this! This one is my attempt at distance. Compared to the other paintings people posted, mine are weak. Luckily, I don’t care. :-)

This time I tried to wash the paper with a graduated blue, which seemed to work, but I need to graduate it a bit more!

...this one was tough, because it was my first with any level of detailing. I bought some books about watercolors, so I expect they will get nicer.

and I know I’m not even a beginner, but I have the basic ability to go at my own pace.

I enjoyed creating each painting immensely. I put on some CD that I don’t hear much, and just enjoy the process.

Definitely something I’d like to continue, without expectations or stress.
