for me was from behind as my son zoomed aahead of me down the lane between our house in the forest and the lake.

our final ride for the summer

and we had to do most of our ride in the rain… we did manage to find 3 geocaches and complete 3 geocaching challenges. next summer we will be ready for even more bike riding together

today's ride

really went downhill… We stopped a couple of times to geocache, and my son wouldn’t look at all. He just stood there watching me, and then I started having trouble breathing. So we decided to just ride home. That is when I noticed that he had disobeyed me and NOT put on reflectors and lights on the bike he is borrowing from his older brother. I was so angry at him about that. Defnitely not a fun ride together, but hopefully he will get the bike fixed before he rides with me again on it.

we had a fun ride today

just a loop to enjoy the fast downhills, which of course meant we had to struggle up several hills. Another 19 km ride… This is no longer difficult for my son, and he enjoys these rides, so I have acheived my goal of getting him riding with me.

another 20 km

and this time he totaly outrode me.

his first 20 km ride

with me today, but he certainly whined and cried on the way back. It went rather well on the way to Horby, and he enjoyed the picnic we had there. I have already told him we’ll be doing it again on Monday, so he might want to fix anything on his bike that bothers him, like his uncomfortable seat.

a bit of a longer ride

with my son. i got him to ride 10 km today with him. First we rode to town, then we did a 5 km loop before we rode home.

I really need to push him on this. Just a little…

another short ride

to the lake… I wonder if I can get my son to go on a longer ride with me soon.

finally time and clear weather

so we could ride to the lake again. This time we rode and found 2 geocaches.
