I feel this is a huge milestone in my quest for musical proficiency.

Its funny, I wasn’t sure that 43Things was much more than an excercise in voyeurism and exhibitionism, but when I put this on my list, it really solidified just how much I’ve wanted to learn the violin, and for how long (forever). Its always been one of those things I put off because ‘I’ll never be able to do it’. But the second I shared this desire with the world, it hit me, if you’re gonna do it, then do it. But dammit you need a violin first.

... and most people would say I’m too old to start learning this one but I wasn’t exactly planning on playing with the Symphony Orchestra, I just love the sound of a violin, and I’d like to be able to make that sound myself – pleasantly. This is something I want to do just for me.
