For some reason, names really matter when it comes to my characters. Their names have to mean something or come from something that relates to their character. I’m having a LOT of trouble naming one character in here, and I’m also trying to decide who I should kill off or considering killing off in the novel, because my novel has war in it, so it’s inevitable.

Krista W has written 4 entries about this goal
I have two ideas that I’d really like to turn into novels.
One idea is something I completely created myself, my best friend has been encouraging me to at least TRY to write it for 3 years now. The trouble is, I don’t know how to begin it. I need to develop the character in my head before writing about her.
The second idea is pulled from a few shows I used to watch. I pretty much combined them into one. I’ve explained what I’m going to do with the story, and my friends and mentor both said it’d be fine, since I’m making a lot of it different.
Decided what I want my novel to be about. :)
I’ve had the idea in the back of my head for a little while, since about 6th grade (High School Sophomore), but I never thought I’d write it, I always thought it’d be a good book idea.
As for the genre, it’s science fiction/romance/drama/tragedy.
But I’m not sure if it can really be considered science fiction, because it’s going to take place in the future and deal with genetic modification.
I’m one of those people who starts out with a fantastic, unique, storyline and maybe will start to write it, but will soon get bored. I get a lot of compliments on my writing (when I choose to show it to people), so I’m hoping that I could actually FINISH a novel.
