Finished My Antonia a few days ago. It was a surprisingly good book. Considering reading O! Pioneers further on down the road.

I just finished Great Expectations. I felt a little ripped off at the end- I wanted to know more, but other than that, I found it to be a really good novel. I decided I like Charles Dickens and so I bought David Copperfield.
Now, if I could just get back on track and finish Anna Karenina. I want to, I just can’t make myself do it.
I took a break from Tolstoy to read “The Awakening” and a few other short stories by Kate Chopin. I thought “The Awakening” could have been stretched out into a novel rather than just a novella. The ending was a little abrupt. “Desiree’s Baby” definitely left an impression. I have started on “Emma” by Jane Austen and then will continue with Tolstoy some more.
I really enjoyed reading Jane Eyre. It’s definitely one of my favorites. I’m considering reading “The Professor” by Charlotte Bronte as well, maybe further on down the line. Next is Anna Karenina. I have a feeling that’s going to take me quite a while. Wish me luck!
I just finished The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. I REALLY enjoyed it. Next is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
I’m sure everyone has their own unique list of classics they want to read, but I have begun with The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers. I’m sure this goal is going to be quite on-going, considering I have so much other reading to do for all my classes (6 classes just in the summer!!! what was I thinking?) but I will stick with it. I am rather determined to be a much more affluent reader.
