Filled out forms at a local ESL, intercultural organization. Am signed up to help a man prepare for his TOEFL exam and work on writing.
I’m sort of scarred by prior volunteer failures of mine (what do I not consider a failure in some form?) (this kind of belief is a whole another thing in itself) when I went to volunteer and what seems to be my general flooded performance when I actually volunteer. When I first establish contact with the organization I act this giddy sort of awe in what they’re telling me, as my frozen mind is so worried that I am going to enact exactly this behavior.
More details to come. As something of a writer, I like to think I’m at the stage where I can zone in or zone out on the amount of details I give, whether or not I have worked at effective juxtapositions and capturing the essence of my life about in the world.
