20 Lbs Are Gone! 2 years ago

It is official, I’ve lost 20 lbs on this 10,000 Steps A Day thing! Isn’t that amazing?

I can’t believe that it just took walking for an hour a day and modest changes in my diet to achieve this! I am thrilled, beyond thrilled, and I think that I’ll keep this up, since it is more of a lifestyle than anything.

I know that walking the 10,000 steps a day is really helpful. After just a week of walking and watching what I eat (i.e. no more of my lovely blueberry muffins) I lost about 2 lbs!

I came down with a cold though… so I’m feeling a bit like I’m staring all over again from scratch. Still, its been great so far. THe morning walks help my clear my head before the day begins.

I’d be lying if I made it sound like i leap out of bed every morning to do this, but I’m always happy I go.



One Step Forward, Two Steps Back 3 years ago

I’ve been doing my best to keep up my walking… but its hard, and I feel like a fool with that stupid pedometer on my waiste all day! But, I know it has to be done, so I’m still working on it.

I know, actually, that its working because I do FEEL stronger, and it takes longer to get winded, etc. So, despite the fact that I havne’t really dealt with my diet yet, I sense the changes in my body.

I really want to do this—to lose weight, to look better, and to be healthier. Its been harder than the simple “walk a lot” plan sounded.
