pay off my credit cards

Paid off BOTH credit cards in one shot. Dipped into my savings to do it on the advice of my BF and Suze Orman. Funny thing is that as soon as I paid them off I had to immediately use one of them again to buy something for work so technically one is not at zero but I will get reimbursed for it and pay the balance off easily.

So I do feel great although I am now uneasy at the gap in my savings. So I am going to make a new goal about that.

haven’t decided whether I want to put it in savings or pay off most of the card with it.

So against my boyfriends good advice I decided to build up my savings just a teeny bit more before tackling the credit card debt. If I am not at a number that I can feel comfortable with all I do is worry about money and I would rather pay the interest on my credit cards to get a little peace of mind. In maybe another month or so I will be at a number that I am ok with and then I can slap down the cash on the cards. One should be a breeze to pay off. In fact, I might just change my mind and pay half of it off next pay check. It is not that high. Haven’t decided yet. But I just know that I need my nest egg to feel at ease.

Well actually – I paid it off but then had to charge some work stuff on it. But not a lot so I am going to pay it off again. And the other one I am paying $100 a month too but once I pay off this other one I can pay more toward it.

So I set up automatic payments on both of them. $100 a month on one and the minimum on the other. The second one didn’t allow me to select my own amount. It was either minimum or the entire balance – but I can always go online and make an additonal payment in order to pay more than the minimum.

I am going to not use them for a long long long long long time.

Just paid the minimum. But it felt like the maximum.

Made a payment…

Paid some money to it today.

One to Visa and one to Mastercard.

Ouch.
