I cut out fast food almost completely. I buy some things organic. I have gone low-fat whenever I can. I added more fruits and veggies to my diet. I’ve been trying to drink more water. I switch from coffee and cappuchino back to tea. I could go further but I think I’ve accomplished this goal enough to file it away.

I am back on South Beach with some minimal cheating mixed in.

Today I ate:

Breakfast:
Coffee with milk & sugar
Peach yogurt

Lunch:
A teeny piece of poppy seed bread
One slice of pepperoni pizza (I am broke and it is cheap)
Ice tea

And for dinner I had:
two veggie burger patties with lite swiss and guacamole
mixed veggies lightly cooked
salad with veggies, goat cheese, almonds and lite ranch dressing

Coffee with milk & sugar
cottage cheese and pinnaple
tuna panini with chipolte dressing
rasberry yogurt
mocha frappe with whipped cream (OK I know – it is bad)
1 liter of water
cheese blintzes with applesauce



Today I ate: 3 years ago

Coffee with milk and sugar
Peach yogurt
Mini croissant with butter
some fruit
salad with veggies and cheese
milk
1.5 liters of crystal light ice tea
half of a ham, brie and apple sandwich
a teensy bit of pasta salad
chai tea with milk and sugar
spinach salad with chicken

OK so it is not the picture of health but look! TWO salads in one day!!!!



Two small adjustments 3 years ago

I have switched from cappuchino all sugared-up to chai tea with no sugar at Starbucks.

And tomorrow, after a small crying spell, I will start using Splenda in my coffee-cart coffee instead of sugar. :(

However I will have the occasional Mocca Frap at Starbucks – but no more than once a week. Maybe less.



Adding more veggies 3 years ago

In the past few days I’ve had salad, corn, kidney beans, broccoli, green beans, carrots, celery, tomatoes.

And pickles if they actually count.



Doing a little bit better 3 years ago

Cut down to one burger and fries a week.
Cut down to pizza once a week but I don’t think I’ve had any in a while anyway. (What is wrong with me!)
Cut out McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Taco Bell & KFC completely.
Trying not to eat too much junk food and candy.

I could do better but right now I am ok with this.
