art journaling every day. a little paint this day, some collage the next, pastels the next, some stamping, a little writing, add a picture or two, letting my feelings out on paper, works for me.

to start at art journal. I like the idea of creating and don”t always have the time to create some big project but I do have time to paint or color or draw on one page of paper. I have found some cool links and great directions. I think that exploring this creative side even more will help my overall thinking and problem solving skills. I am excited.
along with the ‘family, friends and lovers’ Not that they don;t matter but they are the ones that I have focused the least on. I did manage a dinner out with two of my girls the other day and I am scheduling a family “girls dinner” next Saturday. A dinner with Connors family on the next Saturday that I have off after that and then probably a big family dinner with all the boys as well a week or so after that.
I also want to make it out to the Winterfest in Ottawa. Groundhog day family movie night. Valentines day cooking for Pot Luck at work. Cross country ski pass that needs to be used. I also would like to finally use those snowshoes. Something crafty would be nice as well.
he was saying something about doing the things you love, that life is too short to not spend it on the things you love to do. I was thinking the whole time he was talking. Thinking about my stained glass and wood turning and all those crafty things that seem important to me right now. I felt so elated in that moment and realized that I need, not just want to but actually need to, spend more time doing the things I love, whether it is walking outside, lifting weights, knitting or planning, but whatever it is, it needs to have this element of creating, fun, love, happiness or balance.

I realize that I am trying to do too many things all at the same time. I believe this long list is actually causing me more overwhelming feelings than it is making me feel good. So I pared it down. Completed those which I think can stand to be said that I have completed as best as I can up until this point and deleted some others.
I am left feeling much less overwhelmed and more focused. I changed the wording on a couple of others, including “mindfulness” which is something I am trying to focus on more than anything as it is central for my success in any area. Awareness, or so my therapist said, is the first step in changing anything so that is the goal. Awareness in what I am spending my time thinking on, what I am putting in my mouth, what I do with my time and so on.
I am hoping that this one goal will encapsulate a lot of success in other areas. Here is to a wonderful 2013!

I fell like I need a break from everything. EVERYTHING! From life, from work, from school, from obligations, from responsibility. I need a break from all of it.
Put together a really great vision board tonight. I included all kinds of fun things. Cross country skiing, kayaking, theater, dinners, massages, kite flying, water park, and golf. I included beautiful pictures of fit women, exercise techniques, hot legs, pictures of me when I was thinner, shots of my school, reminders of things that inspire me. I am very happy with the results.
just eats up my time. I had a lot of fun just messing on my computer. I figured out how to create the boards and add pins and comment. Oh my it is addictive.
