and plan on traveling even more but frankly, my finances need to be focused elsewhere for the time being.

next week, a day just for me, a massage, a swim, the jacuzzi, wonderful restaurant, a massage before and a big bath with jets, a fireplace and cable.
I am so looking forward to this. I am going to bring my computer, a book and my journal. It should be a great, great day.
I left my hotel room in Philly and set out to see about 10 different things. I took an hour to really study the map and the locations of all the places that I wanted to see while I was eating breakfast. could not believe how the day went. I didn’t really rely on my map as much as I did my instincts and I was amazed how every time I turned around there was another thing right there down the street I accidentally took that I had planned to see. It blew me away! I managed to see every one of the things I wanted except for two. EVERYTHING!!! Incredible.
The next day I spent three hours at one of the last two sites (The Eastern State Penitentiary which was a really cool place if I may say so myself.) and I managed to not worry about the last.
What a great couple of days. I will certainly go back to Philadelphia again.
Overall my week of vacation was wonderful. I saw so many interesting things and had a lot of fun despite battling some depression along the way.
It was overall a good idea and money well spent.
I have chosen to take another week to work on some projects around the house before school starts. I am excited to do so.
I spent one evening looking at my planner and thinking of how I will spend this week. Now to do it. I am a great planner but not such a great doer.
Would come back and visit this city again for sure.
Heading to Albany today to visit daughter. May stay the night and stop in at Lake George on the way home. Should I do the Great Escape or not?
I was considering skipping this one leg of the trip but decided it against it at the last minute. It is a city I have wanted to see for a long time so I am glad I stopped. Hotel is great, the best of all of them. Great bed, slept wonderfully. Heading out shortly.
What a day yesterday, after I left Baltimore and did some last minute sightseeing I headed north to Philadelphia. I stopped for gas, a tea and a bite to eat at the rest stop, my daughter called so we spent some time on the phone, by then I had to go back in to use the restroom after that large tea. When I came out, my car wouldn’t start, I had forgotten that I had turned my lights on in the harbor tunnel and forgot them on when I went in to eat. Thank God I had roadside assist with my insurance. I called them and made my request for a jump start. I had removed my cables when packing my car and too shy to just ask strangers I called. It took over an hour and a half when all was said and done and a slight toll on my nerves. I was hot and sweaty when I arrived at Hotel, shower was all I could think of.
Looking forward to the day here in Philadelphia, visiting with daughter in Albany tomorrow, might spend the night and then on to Lake George and then home.
dropping the stop in Philadelphia and heading right home. I get a little anxious being away from home for long periods of time. I miss my bed, my house, routine.
Not sure what to do here but I need to cancel hotel reservations one way or another by the end of the day.
seats were awesome.
I did have some time to kill before leaving for the game. Stopped at the Dress Barn and saw a nice dress, half price. Not sure if I want to pick it up. I was missing a rhinestone which is easily replaced and it is only $20 but I said that I would only buy clothes that fit me well, had nothing wrong or had to fix and that I felt really good in right now. So this is pushing it. I do have a wedding next month so I might have to bite the bullet and buy something I just don’t know what. This would be a cheap and easy way to fit the bill.
I can;t log on to my work computer so I am getting nothing done. I think perhaps I was supposed to change my password before I left and I didn’t so now I have to be on a work line to do so.
ready to head out for the Red Sox/Orioles game. Looking forward to some hot dogs and peanuts. All is well in the world.
-beautiful monuments, breathtaking architecture, gorgeous landscapes, phenomenal exhibits.
That sums it all up. I could list everything but just far too much to write here. Lovely city.
Only negative comment was the reflecting pool was closed due to some major construction and the horrible smell every time you passed a sewer.
Debating taking a second week off and taking a quick trip to Montreal before heading back to work as well as doing the decorating that I wanted in my bedroom. No debating, I am just going to take it.
