#7

Yummy!!!

Shiner Prickly Pear beer. Too bad it only comes in the family packs.

#6 Buffalo Bill's Blueberry Oatmeal Stout

Not the best I have had….not the worst….but then I don’t really like blueberries.

This is not a fruity beer, it is a dark stout, with a slight blueberry smell and aftertaste.

I like dark beers. I’m sure I will finish this 6 pack, but will probably not get again…not that it’s bad, but you really shouldn’t buy a blueberry beer when you don’t like blueberries…. :)

7.5 ABV

#5 Weihenstephaner Korbinian

Weihenstephaner Korbinian

I got this at a German deli…..wonderful beer, from the oldest brewery in the world.

#4 Saint Arnold Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest

Description
A full bodied, malty, slightly sweet beer celebrating the Autumn harvest. This rich beer has a round malt flavor and an above average alcohol content perfect for a cool fall evening.

History and Trivia
This style was originally brewed in Bavaria to celebrate the fall harvest. Then along came the wedding of the Crown Prince Leopold and his wife, Therese, and the brewers, sucking up to the royals, claimed that they had brewed this beer especially for their wedding. And what a wedding it was. It lasted two weeks. The wedding, that is. The marriage lasted longer. We’re not talking about Britney Spears here.
The wedding was such fun that they decided to celebrate it every year and thus was born Oktoberfest. Technically, the Oktoberfest celebration is the two weeks that end with the first Sunday in October, thus most of the event occurs during September. But Septemberfest just didn’t have a good ring to it, we guess.

#3 Shiner Black

My personal favorite from the Little Brewer in Shiner Texas.

Spec from the brewery:
Shiner Bohemian Black Lager

Shiner Bohemian Black lager is a rare and delicious style of beer, referred to in Germany as “Schwarzbier” (Black Beer). Shiner Bohemian Black Lager remains true to this old-world style by using imported Czech Saaz and Styrians Hops and select roasted malts to make it our darkest beer.

Shiner Bohemian Black Lager, celebrates a brewing tradition by the venerable Spoetzl Brewery. Customers will appreciate the distinctively sophisticated flavor of this rare style of beer, which stays true to its Czech and German heritage. Prost!
Shiner Bohemian Black Lager Beer Specs?

#2 Delirium Tremens

I have been wanting to try this beer for a while now. What can I say?...... it was great! 8.5%

Delirium Tremens is the name of the life-threatening alcohol withdrawal syndrome that can cause seizures and hallucinations – it is also the name of a strong Beligian beer.

On December 26th 1989, the famous “Delirium Tremens” was born. The particular character and the unique taste of “Delirium Tremens” result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success. The label depicts the different phases of the production of “Delirium Tremens” the “Pink Elephant” was up and ready to conquer the world. To celebrate the bicentennial of the French Revolution in 1989, the topical beer “La Guillotine” was launched.

1. Three Philosophers Belgian Style Blend

I am not sure in the goal, if I need to drink 43 different KINDS of beers, or just 43 different beers.

Are there 43 kinds of beers?????

I guess I will be finding out…....I will try to go with different kinds of beers….

This was a very nice True Belgian-Style QUADRUPEL…...blend…. the bottle says it is created by blending a Belgian-style ale with authentic Kriek, a classic cherry-Lambic.

Quadrupel

Description:
Inspired by the Trappist brewers of Belgium, a Quadrupel is a Belgian style ale of great strength with bolder flavor compared to its Dubbel and Tripel sister styles. Typically a dark creation that ranges within the deep red, brown and garnet hues. Full bodied with a rich malty palate. Phenols are usually at a moderate level. Sweet with a low bitterness yet a well perceived alcohol.

OK…. this one is:
a deep reddish brown garnet hue….alcohol taste in the finish along with a hint of cherry and maybe caramel. Only comes in a 1 pt 9.4 oz bottle. Feels a little like popping the cork on champagne when opening. 9.8 alc/vol
