Epoxies resins have a higher (exo-thermic) reaction temperature compared to other resins and it can discolour a flower. This is not to say it cannot be done even with epoxies. Different flowers have different natural pigments that make them coloured and this colour is not always so lightfast (light/heat). There are many ways to keep the flower coloured which can be a little more advanced and better to do later on, for example : 1) freeze drying to lock colour sometimes works, or 2) doing a process called wetting down, or 3) using different types of resins and lowering heat and setting agents. 4) finding flowers that are more lightfast and temp resistant. Sounds like thing are going well , it did set. Experimenting is the key. L
