I tried out Biodanza- which was quite fun but a wierd experience as was just me and 2 guuys and it’s quite an intimate kind of dance. They were lovely though. I might go again to do try it with a bigger group but don’t think it’s for me on a regular basis.

I’m really enjoying Nia technique, another class I’ve tried, which is a blend of spontaneous free movement and form- based on jazz dance, tai chi, tae kwondo and yoga. Felt great after class and will def go again. I might not be able to go every week but will go when I can.

Close to ticking this goal off I think- certainly feel more liberated in my movement and reattuned with dancing and my body.

I love dancing and it always makes me feel good, and forces me to let go of and ‘dance out’ all my tension. I have taken to sometimes dancing in my room in the mornings, makes me feel awake and happy.

I’ve been feeling quite resistant to clubbing recently. Focussing on the neagative aspects (for me) of overcrowding, stale air and damaging volumes. But I love the music and love to dance. I’ve got some decent earplugs now so can relax more, and am just going to go and rediscover the joy of dancing like a mad one.

I suppose my other beef with clubbing is that often everyone I’m with is on some drug or other which keeps them buzzing til 6am and then beyond, whereas if I put my all into dancing and enjoying myself I’m shattered by 3 or 4, especially on a Friday after work. I suppose I have to be realistic and let go of the need to ‘keep up’. If people want to be with me they can choose. If they get offended by my tiredness they are ridiculous frankly.

I’d love to belly dance. I already dance with my hips alot, and I bet it’s great fun.

I’m going to link my renewed commitment to dancing with my commitment to exercise more, as it’s the best way to work up a sweat!!
