I am 25, but when I was 14 I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and it spread to my vocal chords. I am a musician and have been signign and doing music my whole life. I had to change career choices because of my voice ( I ended up losing 50% of my range and losing vocal strength). Anyways, I have gotten to a place where I can sing again some..I go to karaoke nights and I still can sing in chiors and such, but I cannot perform for a profession anymore because my voice wears out easily. And plus, I only have half of a vocal range now and I can only sing certain notes. I’ve learned to work with what I’ve got, but I’d really like to be reevaluated by another doctor one day and see if there is a way to fix it.
