pay off my mortgage

I am finally done! I paid it off and now know the true meaning of home ownership. For those of you who are still striving for this goal, keep at it. Even it is just a little bit each month. I saved like crazy for this goal, but not too crazy. I still bought things like furniture, replaced the roof, added insulation, all new wood doors, took trips, etc. I wasn’t rich and I’ve worked for every dime and even paid for my own college education. So take time to enjoy life, but don’t give up on your goals. In the words of Steven Covey, “Put first things first.” Woo-hoo!

Almost there. It’s so close I can taste it. I haven’t posted in awhile but I’ve been paying slowly but surely. It will be 5 years since I’ve owned my house come August. I can’t wait to have it paid off because I’ll be that much closer to financial freedom :)

Slowly reaching that under 10K mark, gives me goosebumps :)

Getting closer…

One more payment made. I’m trying to payoff by the end of this year or early next year.

I’ve got the roof redone and I’m back on track for my extra payments.

Another month closer. I may have to redo the roof soon so that will affect how quickly I can pay it off.
