make some animations

Ah yes, so I set up the tripod and my camera, and a very small white space, and did a series of drawings, one on top of the other, about 24 all up. Then tried to make them into an animation, first off using Photoshop, then when I couldn’t work out the whole layers thing, tried iMovie. But really I didn’t have enough time or concentration, to do it properly.

Basically I got impatient and gave up. But I’ve still got the photos of the drawings. I’ll have to try again another day.

Tim gave me a tripod for Christmas, so I’ve got to use it! A couple of months ago we went to an exhibition of William Kentridge’s work at the MCA,and then we went to a workshop to learn how to do the drawing and rubbing out, and redrawing technique of making an animation. And you can take the photos/stills with a digital camera and a tripod. So, that is what I will do, maybe tomorrow even.
