identify 100 reasons why I love my partner

1. I love how he texted me to warn me the roads are icy and to be careful on my way to work – then asked me to text him when I got there to check I was ok.
2. I love how he makes me a cup of tea and brings it to me in bed every morning.
3. I love how he rubbed cream on me when I was all itchy to make me feel better.
4. I love that he’s big and tall and makes me feel small (difficult when you’re 5’8”!) and my head fits perfectly in his armpit.
5. I love to tickle and kiss his teddybear tummy – it’s cuddly and brown and hairy!
6. I love that we always have one TV programme that we watch together and neither of us will watch it without the other.
7. I love how obsessively tidy he is – and how he gets all funny and starts cleaning things when I stay over and leave my clothes all over his floor.
8. I love how different we are.
9. I love how he always tries to fix things that are broken for me.
10. I love going for long walks with him in the woods and playing shakey tree and imagining we had a little dog to take with us.

We broke up after a year and a bit together because I moved away to university. He’s already found someone new and won’t even come visit me without consulting her first. I don’t think he’s the same person any more, and I can’t complete this goal about him (which is a shame because I started this goal!) Maybe at some point in the future I will meet someone else special and be able to do this for them, but at the moment it seems like everyone here at uni is just out for a shag!

51. How he drove me home today – a round trip of an hour, even though he was ill, just so I wouldn’t have to hang around waiting for the train and so he could spend more time with me :)

52. I love the way I still want to kiss him when he’s all gross and ill with a runny nose, and getting the cold seems a small price to pay for it

53. He took me to Tesco when I had Ben and Jerry’s cravings, then when it was closed, took me to another one miles away :)

54. He said he’d do anything for me and gave me a really cute little smile – I can see he means it and it makes my heart go squooshy :)

55. How he’s so comfortable to fall asleep with, cuddled up on the sofa

He left me loads of messages and texts to read when I got back from holiday and came over straight away because he couldn’t wait to see me!

How he gets all shy and bashful when I tell him how sexy he is and jump on him :)

47. He’s a big softie and was really proud of himself when he saved a baby bird from being killed in a chipper.

48. He tries to be romantic :) and even when it doesn’t work it’s funny and brings us closer together

He thinks my horrible freaky feet are cute :) haha

43. I got sunburn on my arm and he put cream on it for me, got a wet flannel to soothe it for me, and kissed it better :)

How we have our own little coupley conversations that nobody else would understand if they were listening… like when we were in Tesco and he said ‘what does that remind you of?’ pointing at a tub of nutella and it reminded us both of how we were naughty when we went to Prague together and cheekily nicked loads of the little things of nutella at breakfast because we didn’t have a lot of money for food and it was free! We had a little laugh together and a quick snog in the supermarket aisle :) I love our shared memories.

45. How he doesn’t complain when I say I only want two bits of toast and then eat most of his as well.

37. How he makes such an effort to come see me and doesn’t complain about the long drive.

38. The way he forgives me for being a horrible bitch sometimes and loves me anyway

39. When we’re cooking together and he pushes me up against the wall for a passionate kiss :p

40. How he tried to hide a beautiful ring as a present for me inside a kinder egg :) and didn’t quite manage it… but I still had no idea what he was up to, and I got chocolate too! waheyyy!

41. How we can be silly together and laugh until my tummy hurts, like with the suitcases when we were at the airport :)

42. The way he cuddled me and kissed my head when I whacked it on a shelf and cried like a little girl, hehe.
