This mornings garden 2 years ago

The advent of tiny blossoms from the grape hyacinth and equally minisule baby pink lillies of the valley! The difference of one day amazes during spring.

In today's garden 2 years ago

More daffodils, pansies, violas, snapdragons, plus buds on the orchids, fluffy dandilions, and tulips like lipstick, butter, peppermint candy and tangerine ones that look as if each has a candle lit inside. Also the quince has pinklemonade blossoms on every arching branch. Tulip magnolias blooms shamelessly across the mini quad outside my office window. Has there ever been a more perfect spring?

Daffodils, Pansies, Flowering Quince, Snap Dragons, and a couple of hearty little dandelions!

Watch the garden die... sleep 2 years ago

The garden is in a state of rest… and restlessness. Here in North Carolina we have not had much of a winter. Some of the plants are shooting buds, and some plants are finally dying back from our long unending autumn. It is an amazing site. What will triumph? What will fade away for a couple of season? The birds and squirrels are all fat and active. What will this season mean for them? No telling if this is a fluke or effects of global warming? We wait, and we watch… hopefully we remember.

Beans 3 years ago

The beans have little flowers on them now! They are gorgeous deep purple flowers… it is so exciting. Our front yard has been planted with wildflower seeds, and some of the flowers are blooming. If it’s pretty and appreciated, it isn’t a weed.
