I marvel at how my son can really be a pirate in his imagination. I can’t imagine for hours like he can, because so much in the world drags me back for mundane, practical reasons. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to schedule a couple of hours every week to play pirates? Hold my calls, I’ve got an appointment with Captain Blackbeard. I’ll be back in at 3 for our staff meeting.

The hours are long, and I haven’t yet heard about the benefit package, or the pay… but you can’t beat the rum and coke parties EVER SINGLE NIGHT. Oh, a pirate’s life for me! (I wonder if you need an Associate’s Degree?)

There is a theory proposed by Pastafarians (Flying Spagetti Monster Tradition) that the global decrease of Pirates is consistant with the rise of global warming. This suggests that it is in the interest of the world’s health that many of us become pirates to reverse this trend. Quite a noble cause, aye?
