I have one more paper to write – my philosophy on teaching language arts to children. And then I’m done with summer quarter! I can’t believe I’ll be student teaching next spring – it seemed like so far away when I started the program, and now it’s right around the corner. I’m really nervous. Really nervous. But excited too, and anxious to move on with my life.

Well, I’m finishing up my winter quarter and that means that a year from now I’ll begin my student teaching. I’m anxious to get going, and terrified. Although I’m pretty confident about my ability to handle a class, it’s really frightening to go into something you’ve never done before. Especially something as important as teaching. I mean, those kids are depending on you to give them a productive educational experience, and each child is so different from the next…
Well, I’m an established Masters student now, and it’s going pretty well. Aside from being exhausted by trying to balance work, classes, school observations and life in general, I’m pretty happy. It’s nice to be confident that I’m going in the right direction finally.
