OK, so it’s almost a year later and I’m still working on this seemingly easy goal of mine, to be on-time or early to work each day. With constant construction and multitudes of bad drivers, I-88 is a bear to deal with in the morning. But this is not a real excuse, since it’s the same thing every day. I have been making progress, though, and the days I’ve been late have gotten to be fewer and further between. Maybe by the time I quit my job to become a teacher I’ll finally be able to get myself to work on time!

OK, moving definitely helps this one. Instead of a 23-mile commute to work, now it’s only 15 miles. It’s a start.
I was 3 minutes early clocking in for work this morning. Felt so good! But I still had to drive like a maniac to get here in time. I should leave earlier so I can drive at a normal pace and maybe even stop off for coffee along the way.
It’s just a hard habit to get rid of – it’s always the same 10 to 12 minutes that I’m late every single day. Even when I leave a little earlier, there’ll be some traffic problem that makes me late anyway. Gotta get myself out of the house earlier!
