Make a movie

I realised I haven’t made much progress on the honeymoon movie in a while. After watching our Wedding DVD, I was motivated to make more progress on it. I did a few hrs work on sunday. I added a bunch of photos to days 1-4 of the honeymoon. I also imported the last of the video. I’ve got alot of editing to do. In order:
cut/splice last 3-5 days of video.
Add photos to rest of film
add transitions
re-edit the footage.
Turn over the video for audio mastering.
I’d like the video to be between 20-25 minutes. It’s current run time is around 27 minutes without about 10 minutes of un edited footage. I’m sure I can squeeze quite a few minutes editing footage down, so that shouldn’t be a problem. I just want the movie to be just the footage that’s worth watching, ya know?

I’ve captured the DV, and I’m working on doing some editing using imovie. I can only say that this is going to take a long time… and it’s not any advanced editing, just cutting content, adding chapters, adding pictures and some audio. It’s good practise I suppose.

Not that I’d want to shoot in DV, but its a start.

I’ve got all these ideas swimming in my head, someday I shall have the outlet for them all. There’s an execelent amature movie ‘48 a white mountains documentary’. I could certainly do something of similar quality, with a similar goal.
