I replaced the turning lock for the coop. Not that it was in use at the moment, but if we need to be able to secure the coop in case of coons it will be helpful to have it fixed. I tried to hang the hangers for the feed buckets in the barn, but the lumber I’ve got is either too big, or too small. I don’t want to waste a 2/10 to hang a 6oz feed bucket, and the 1×3 strapping doesn’t have the width to hold it correctly. I’ll have to run to the lumber yard and get some 2×4’s to hang it, they are likely the cheapest solution.

My dad came down with a truck load of ‘stuff’ for the house.
This stuff ranged from a yard trailer, a wheel barrow, shovels, to jars of nails, a miter box, hand saws, and many other misc hand tools. It’s a great treasure trove of things I won’t have to buy, it’s also a big mess, that needs to be sorted, ordered, and put away. In addition, the trailer needs a wheel & tire, so, my goal, if time allows, is to get the wheel for the trailer this weekend.

I mowed pasture 1, and managed to bend the mower blade.
So, I proceeded to weed wack what I could. When I was tired of stopping to rethread the line. I made my way to sears for the replacement parts (two blades). It was surprisingly easy to fix, only one bolt. Then I mowed pasture 2. Then Wrapped the day up with brush clearing. I need to clean up the brush I cleared, and do more clearing tomorrow. woot!
Yeah, 4 hrs mowing and trimming. I need to do some leveling so it’s less work. I also did some gate repair. I fixed the chicken coop gate, resetting the locking pins. I then removed some material and straightened the gate latch on the fence.
Next up? I think it will be doing the oil on the Ducati.
It’s been a crazy summer at the house. Building walls, putting up chicken coops, and making fences. Never a quiet moment.
Trying to figure out how to fix the tack room / stall, as the trolley is hanging a little low.
Should I say skating rink… With the fluctuations in tempature the last few weeks, causing lots of melting and freezing our driveway has become a skating rink. While I had to pay someone to come out and do this, I consider it fixed!
Light bulbs in the new garage door openers. Simple things, next up winterizing the barn and lawn tractor. woot.
I cleaned the basement for the open house. It’s much nicer, but still crowded with stuff. Tons of stuff that needs to go away.

About a month ago now, we (my dad and I) put a screen door on, and when installing the return we managed to drill through the screen. oops. I immediately ordered the parts, but had to plan a trip before actually replacing them. I managed to replace the screen and move the return to the bottom of the door, all in about 30 mins this am. woot!
It was about time.
Next? decide what to do with our kitchen.
