Act Locally, isn’t that what they say? My major is Social Work- even though i won’t make a difference in the WORLD (realistically speaking), I will make a difference in the lives of the people I come in contact with through my career. I am volunteering at the local children’s hospital, which also givesme the fulfilling sense that I am making a difference. I wish it could be something really huge, that would change the way the world works and thinks, but this is just as good in my opinion.
