I had forgotten about this movie, and was happy to find it at the local library. I liked it quite a bit, and it was nice to see Will Ferrel in a more subdued role. (Not that I don’t love it when he’s chewing the scenery.)

I’ve been meaning to watch this for a long time, after seeing the lackluster Hispanic remake, Tortilla Soup. It’s charming and sad. The food prep, for once, did not leave me hungry.

Oh Babies. An enjoyable way to spend a lazy afternoon. I have to admit that my favorite person in the movie was the Mongolian baby’s older brother. Sure, he was kind of a jerk, but the scene were he’s sitting in front of his lego creation, drinking out of a coffee mug and sighing? Even thinking about it now makes me giggle.

This movie was sweet and funny and hit several nerves in my own personal storyline. That, plus the drinks, made me switch between laughing and crying the whole time.
- This was a 21+ only show, and I could bring my wine in with me, making this my new favorite theater ever.

The Astaire/Rogers love continues! Super funny, fantastic dancing, incredible costumes.

In one word? Charming! The plot bounced along nicely, it was funny (and I’m pretty sure I missed a few jokes), and Owen Wilson makes a good Woody Allen. I liked that they didn’t make Rachel McAdam’s character unlikable, just not entirely compatible with our hero. Definitely worth watching.

I love Rogers/Astaire movies, so it’s hard for me not to like this one. The addition of Gershwin tunes certainly didn’t hurt, either. And it’s funny! William Brisbane as Jim Montgomery, with his goofy facial expressions, just made me die laughing.

I watched this while running a 101.7 temperature, and it fit with my fever quite well. I’m still not entirely sure what happened, but it was awfully nice to look at and be distracted from how crappy I felt.

I loved this movie. Having not seen the original, it was all fresh and interesting and much funnier then I thought it would be. The acting was amazing, and I even loved Matt Damon, who I was wary of, it being a cowboy movie and all. Disappointed that it won zero Academy Awards.

A nice combination of two things I adore: happy documentaries and drag queens. Fluffy and enjoyable, a nice distraction.
