It was not a good one. What can you expect from a cheap piercing studio? I didn’t get infections, but I didn’t get any advise or information either. They just pierced and send me off my merry way. I guess I’m to be blame too cos I didn’t ask anything. But I figured since they were ‘professional’ they would have advised me on anything I should know about.
3 weeks after that I took out my studs to put on different earrings. No problem so far. But when I have to put the studs back on for bedtime, I had troubles and it hurts a lot so I just left it as it is. The next morning, still had trouble putting them back in. Blood was still oozing. So I left it. Til now. Later, I learned that I’m not supposed to have blood clotting outside the piercing if the job was done right. I think I’m lucky not to get infections!
A few more reputable studios I’ve been to took a look at my ‘old job’, shake their head and all told me I have no choice but to get platinum ones if I’m thinking of re-piercing the area. This is because re-piercing an already wounded flesh for the second time may cause infection if I get anything other than platinum. Platinum is pricier, and I’m slowly saving up for that. However, being on a student budget sometimes the money have to be dug out for higher priorities (rent, groceries).
