I saw a shooting star. I hadn’t seen one since I was in Phoenix, which was some time ago.
It fell trailing green flames, and it seemed to move in slow
motion for me.
Truly a beautiful moment and I had it all to myself.
Rest assured I made quite the wish as well ;)

I go to the park nearly every day to clear my head, be close to some semblance of nature, and to figure out the things in my life that I don’t quite understand at the moment.
I sit on the same bench mostly, and people only walk by.
Yesterday a man sat a ways behind me with his guitar and started to play a classic James Taylor song. He had an extraordinary voice, and played the guitar softly. I don’t know why it made me feel better, but it did. So thanks again stranger. The happier I am the more I notice these small random occurances, and the more random occurances I accumulate the happier I am. So keep it coming, and I will too.
Yesterday was particularly rough on me.
I walked with him, and waited for what I knew he would say…
hiding all the things that I know, finally accepting defeat.
We walked across the mountain that overlooks this town, and everyone that we passed, everyone that I looked in the eye, smiled at me.
It conjured up memories of other difficult days, and reminded me that if you are open with yourself
the small things come to you exactly when you need them.
A stranger telling you that everything will be alright,
not in a consolling manner, but stated as fact. Everything WILL be alright. So thank you strangers, for lifting my spirits with such simple gestures.
I was in a bit of a funk this morning
so my friend Michael writes me an e-mail;
“Well, if you want to sing out, sing out
And if you want to be free, be free
‘Cause there’s a million things to be
You know that there are
And if you want to live high, live high
And if you want to live low, live low
‘Cause there’s a million ways to go
You know that there are”
- Cat Stevens
Every time little disasters strike my little existence
Harold and Maude is somehow always there to make things better. Remember that.
Yesterday the neighbors cat jumped in my bedroom window and slept with me for a couple of hours. I greatly appreciated his company, and felt obligated to thank him in words. So, thank you cat, for keeping me in such great company.
Someone I haven’t seen in, oh, about eight years got ahold of me out of the clear blue sky yesterday. It’s a massive comfort for me to be able to still hold together memory and friends from that particular period of time. So now I’ll be off to enjoy the drinking holiday with my old new friend.
