i waited 7 hours to get neil gaiman to sign a comic book — 2 years ago
i thought i had it bad, being #389 and all, but then i realized as i neared his table that he’d been signing books for 3 days and his arms and fingers must hurt and with a wave he could just stop. but he didn’t. he lovingly signed each and everone of our books, hugged and kissed everyone, said nice short things…
anna would say a few days later that if a man with neil’s stature had that much patience, then maybe i should take his cue.
i don’t know.
