I rescued this little guy from the side of the road one day in Pitman, NJ. It is a four-drawer cutie with little flower embellishments on the legs.
It was mostly yellow then, and looked like it had sustained some notable water damage that had destroyed the veneer in a few places. It’s missing a few chunks out of the top molding and has cost me an entire bottle of paint stripping gel (with about half the dresser yet to go). There was a lot of paint on this thing.
And the damn thing wobbles and the drawers stick, but I refuse to give up. I am not going to strip and revarnish because of how much patching and filling I’m going to end up doing with the cracks and dents and destroyed veneer. I’ll probably just go with paint. But when it’s done.. it’s going to be worth it. I think.
