I’ve gone diving in Monterey and Hawaii—not a lot of diving. Scuba diving is one of those things that is sort of like extra-terrestrial exploration. It is just different from being in the air, on land or in the sky.

I find it easier and more fun to simply snorkel. Then you can’t run out of air, or go too deep and get nitrogen sick.
